Vocational Training

The Barzilai Foundation finds individuals who are eager to advance themselves through employment but face barriers keeping them from securing the jobs they need. We work with them to remove those barriers through their own effort and learning.

Why We Provide Vocational Training

The path to independence and stability comes through employment for most individuals. Unfortunately, a desire and willingness to work are sometimes not enough, most notably for individuals who find themselves underskilled for employment opportunities due to reasons beyond their control.

Our foundation works with these individuals who face barriers to fulfilling their potential, typically in the form of lack of employment opportunity or marketable skillsets. We create programs tailored to the opportunities and needs presented by a given community. In addition, we work with individuals who have a track record of hard work and a desire to improve their status quo, helping them gain valuable knowledge that can lead to income generation and stability for themselves and their families.

The barriers look different for each individual, and the diversity of our programs mirrors that variety. From creating apprenticeship job roles that provide on-the-job training to sponsoring vocational training cohorts, our programs are focused on creating a realistic path to employment and financial stability.
